Mahalia Jackson -Roll, Jordan Roll

I love me some Mahalia Jackson.  Its something about her powerful vocals and her strength in singing.  Mahalia Jackson is one of the greatest Gospel Singers out there.  She's sang songs from "Elijah Rock," "How I Got Over," and "Roll, Jordan Roll."  I love "Roll, Jordan Roll." The rich harmonies will light your soul on fire. It is something that is very rare to find now days.  Here goes "Roll, Jordan Roll," sung by the late Mahalia Jackson.

Delois Barrett Campbell Passes at 85

Gospel Singer, Delois Barrett Campbell went home with Jesus on Tuesday, August, 2, 2011.  She was the oldest of the three sisters that made "The Barrett Sisters." The Barrett Sisters electrified audiences worldwide with their powerful harmonies.  They were raised on the South Side of Chicago. Delois also sang with the Roberta Martin singers as well as Thomas A. Dorsey.  She and her sisters were awarded a Stellar Award of achievement in 2008 by Ambassador Bobby Jones. the movie "Say, Amen Somebody." They became publicly noticed with the new generation in Please Keep the Barrett and Campbell family in your prayers.

Blanche McAllister-Dykes-"These Nails," and "Spiritual"

Blanche McAllister-Dykes came on the scene with Donald Lawrence and Co. on the album "I Speak Life."  You can hear her vocals on the hit "Coming Strong."  She also became known in the Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers "Finale" Project on the hit "These Nails."   She is also making waves on his new "Spiritual," Album as she proclaims that we must be spiritual indeed.
