In A Perfect World

In a perfect world there is me and you. Love divine, happiness,  and joy unspeakable. We are able to profess our love and have that beautiful soiree and gathering  we so desire. Only in a perfect world. Religion tell us we can't. Bigotry condemns us. This world ain't perfect, but we still have that love and we will have that soiree and gathering. We'll make our world perfect. We are perfect.

Accept Me or Leave Me

Friday Thoughts

Today has been a day.  Of course its had its challenges and it has had is blessings.  I am just thankful that I've survived this day.  Even though I've had a couple of disappointments today, I am happy.
Unfortunately, today I lost a dear cousin.  Death is one of those things that you can't really prepare yourself for.  Especially, when its a loved one.  I'm happy that my cousin is no longer having to suffer with his sickness and the issues of life. I hate he had to leave, but I'm glad he's in a better place.  I'm glad to have known my cousin while he was here on this earth.
The other disappointment was from someone whom I thought was interested in me. I was told by them they as much as they were feeling me that it wasn't the time for us to be in each other's company.  I knew something was up when I was getting the normal texts or calls and always went straight to voice mail.
This person did that to me before.  This isn't the first time…

Classy Women

Angel (Angela Winbush)

Angels are depicted as ethereal beings that are messengers, guardians, and protectors.  Angels were created by God to be messengers. They are pure and do not have the shortcomings of man.  Since God is so powerful and holds immortality, dwelling in light, no man in human form can approach him. (Read your Bibles in Exodus and other Chapters 1Timothy 6:16).   Have you ever had that one person in your life that you deemed a divine being?  Are you someone's angel?  Well I've got many angels, but one angel in particular is my grandmother. Grandma is one special lady for me and I don't take her presence in my life for granted.   My grandmother had a hand in raising me and is still raising me even though I am grown. I lived with her for some years due to the situation with my parents divorcing and all that good drama.  My grandmother kept me in church and made sure that I had an active role with in the Church.  She is the reason why I sing.   I remember as a child her pulling ou…

That is Not a Man's Bracelet

The picture above was photographed on Tuesday, June 19th.  This is a bracelet that was given to me from a suitor sometime ago. It was around this time last year.  It really has not sentimental value.  I wear it because it appears fashionable to me.  Well It is something only I would wear.   Well on Tuesday I had to go with a relative to an appointment and I wore this bracelet.  As we approached the car,  I was asked "Why are you wearing that bracelet? That is not a man's bracelet." Of course I simply said "It's my bracelet and I think it looks good.  It's just a bracelet. Plenty of guys wear these things."  Of course that particular relative had this old that disgusted look, but it didn't matter to me.  The Last time I checked jewelry had no gender.  But however, I live in the South.   What is it about living in the South if a man wears something like flip flops or either skinny jeans hell even male gladiator sandals he is looked at wrong?  In the…

WTF Dharun Ravi Released From Jail?

What in Gay Hell?  Former Rutgers Student Dharun Ravi has been released from jail.  He was sentenced to 30 days in prison for spying on Gay college roommate, Tyler Clementi. Days later Clementi committed suicide.
Since Dharun Ravi was not a US citizen he faced deportation, however officials decided not to pursue deportation for the Indian native.  He began his 30-day sentence at the Middlesex County Jail with five days of credit for good behavior and five days of credit for working, according to the AP.
I feel however that this wasn't enough. Although he is paying over $10,000 assessment to the probation department that will go towards victims of hate crimes and what not and he's doing community service concerning cyberbullying and LGBT lifestyles, I don't feel that 20 days was enough. At least give this jack ass some years or something.  However, this is the Good ole USA. The Gays don't have nobody but Jesus.
What else can he do to get more time?  Yes I AM PIS…

Musique's Poetry would to wish Luckey, owner and creator of THE LUCKEY STARa very happy birthday.   Reminder: the Luckey Star is the Best DAMN adults site you'll come across.

Many of you are familiar with Rodney King.  He is most famous for the videotaped beating that he endured from the LAPD in 1991.  Rodney King's beating spurred some of the most deadliest riots in United States history.
On Sunday, Rodney King was found dead.  Police in Rialto, California, found King's body in a swimming pool after  a 911 call from his fiancee. Officers pulled King from the pool and began doing CPR but he was unresponsive.
King was transported to Arrowhead Hospital in Colton where he was pronounced dead at 6:11 am.
An autopsy will be performed. There is not suspicions of foul play.

Ain't Got Much

I ain't got much.  I don't have a Mercedes or a mansion.  Heck, I don't even have a 6 figure income, but I do have a life and great abilities.  I do have a job and an education.  For some that's enough, but for some that's not good enough.
In the dating scene, I catch hell for being in the current socioeconomic bracket that I'm in.  I think that's why for some potential mates, I'm not a perfect fit.  While I love to have the finer things in life, I've learned to be thankful and content with what I have as I strive for bigger, better, and more.  I know that it is going to take some time, but I am working my butt off for what I desire.
I often times ask myself since I'm single and working on some financial issues "What can I offer to a potential mate?"  I really do ask that. I look at my life and I have God, a degree, education, a job, a drive, patience, I can cook and clean and I'm very compassionate.
  Isn't that some of…
