Alex Cross- Review

This Weekend Marked the opening of the highly Anticipated film "Alex Cross." Alex Cross is an film adaptation of the James Patterson Book series of the Psychiatrist/Detective Dr. Alex Cross.   In the film we have Tyler Perry starring as Dr. Cross, Carmen Ejogo who starred in Sparkle, plays as Maria Cross, Cicely Tyson plays as Nana Mama.  The movie opens with Dr. Cross and Maria celebrating the pregnancy that is impending with a new baby. However, why they are celebrating and resting the Butcher played by Lost's Matthew Fox.  This character is a deviation from his Doctor Jack Shepard in Lost.  He is simply unrecognizable with a bald head. However , the body was on point.  The Butcher is a psychopathic, sadistic killer, sent to target select people, however as Dr. Cross enters on the scene it becomes personal and the Butcher targets his family.  In this movie Tyler Perry shows off his new body.  I must say, not bad at all. He's coming up. Tyler Perry had to lose over …

Defense of Marriage Act Ruled Unconstitutional

The Defense of Marriage Act has been ruled been ruled unconstitutional by the second appeals court.
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals joins the 1st Circuit court in Boston, which handed down its ruling in May, rejecting a key part of the law. However, the 2nd Circuit upheld a lower court ruling that DOMA unconstitutionally denies federal benefits to lawfully married same-sex couples.
The Constitutionality of Same-Sex marriage could be determined by the U.S. Supreme Court which could take up the issue in its current term.

Running Through My Mind

As I sit at this computer so much is running through my mind.  I am sitting at home literally bored. I've been wanting to hang out with some of my associates, but everyone is always busy or we can never seem to get it together.  I really don't have that many friends.  My and a few of my friends fell out over this past weekend due to me really not wanting to hear a lot of idle gossip. My eyes opened up to a lot. I am thankful that it happened.
As of now, I am doing things regardless of people's opinion.  As I write this blog, I have sought advice on how to make this blog pop and boom.  I've been told to cover big media topics.  That's all fine and dandy, but that isn't me.  When I first got into blogging, I was just doing it because it seemed cool. It is now an outlet for me and a way for me to educate everyone on various things and life goals.  I realized that covering celebrities didn't work for me. Just being my own self works just fine and dandy.

Wednesday Night Thoughts

It's a Wednesday night, which also means one of the few Church nights that I have this week and I must say, this week has had its challenges, but it hasn't been all that bad. I thank God for allowing me to be able to see this day and to make it.   As I sit back and I look back over the things that have transpired in the political debates, in the religious world, and even in my own life, I realize that God is in control of it all. The Bible teaches us that God is sovereign and all powerful. I am reminded of the Children of Israel when they were trapped in between Pharaoh (Exodus 14).  He told them through Moses "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever." (Exodus14:13). In other words, in those tough times and the times when it seems like situations are impossible, that's the time to trust God.  Instead of us trying to work it …

Are Democrats Really Stupid?

And to think that this is posted at a church. Really Religious Jack asses?

My My My, these Presidential debates remind me of reading sessions with the kids on tonight.  I must say. The format for the Presidential debate on tonite was of course town hall meeting, where the audience posed questions to the candidates.   The first question directed to Mittens was CLEARLY AVOIDED. However, President Obama quickly reviewed his strategy of bringing more labor and using OUR own precious resources to bring people more jobs here. Not only that he even exposed Romney's plan to kill Pell grants and increase interest on Federal Loans.   He also tackled Romney's attack and claims that he made "Detroit Bankrupt."  Not so.  President Obama also noted that he gave them a way and the means to stay open.   However, President Obama and Mittens tussled concerning facts with oil production and issues with permits and licenses with federal property and coal production.  President Obama shut him down immediately.    I must say the moderator. Ms. Candy played a ha…

Tonight will be Round 2 of the Presidential Debates between President Barack Obama and Mittens Romney. I'm ready for this one tonight.  I think the President has a strategy. I hope and pray that he pulls out the big guns tonight.  I honestly President Obama has a strategy.
In the last debate, I think President Obama was playing it cool and saving the big stuff for later.  Plus it was his anniversary night and you know Michelle and her goodies were on his mind.  However, tonight he's going to come out a bag and mollywop the piss out of Mitt Romney.  Honestly his coolness showed that he didn't want to be an angry Black Man.

It's Okay To Laugh

Moving Forward: Just a Thought

Moving means leaving stuff behind.

7 Days of Me: Day 7: He's Got the Whole World in His Hands

I finally made it 7 Days of Me.  Yes I had to do some work with ministry and the last 4 hours have been very tumultuous, I still yet thank God that I'm making it.
I realize that through the events that have come up concerning my ministry and me, God's got it all in His hands.  I'm reminded of the old familiar song, "He's Got the Whole World In His Hands."
With the upcoming US Presidential Elections, all the war, and pestilence in the world, I realize that God is keeping us through it all.  His people are being kept.  He said that he would "never leave His righteous forsaken nor His seed begging for bread."
I know that God has not forgotten about me and that all shall be well and I do mean soon. Through it all, I trust that God will continue and complete the work in me.  I am thankful that He's got me in His Hands.
