It is with sadness that I write this blog post. We as a world, have a lost a Matriarch. Award-winning author,  world renowned poet and civil rights activist Dr. Maya Angelou, passed at the age of 86 on Wednesday May 28th.  Dr. Angelou, born Marguerite Ann Johnson lit up our lives with her eloquence as a "Phenomenal Woman." She told us that "Still I Rise,"  and revealed and dealt with teen pregnancy, rape, and abuse in the autobiography "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings."    In her early years she was a cast member of the opera "Porgy and Bess." Her work and accolades are so numerous. She directed the hit film "Down in the Delta,"  and accepted a lifetime professorship in American Studies at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina.    I remember growing up and learning of Dr. Angelou and reading her work. It's Friday!!!!

Image
Well It's Finally Friday and I'm very excited, even though I do have to work this weekend. I'm happy to say that I survived another week and that I'm surviving my God's Grace.
Let's just say this week has been kind of stressful and I've found my self in state of irritability. I've been preparing for my future and although it isn't happening the way that I want it, I know that things will work out. I just have to keep pushing and patiently waiting.  I do know that things will work out soon as far as job placement and residential situations.
It is Friday and I'm going to rejoice. Time to relax with some good food and some good music.
Love ya,
Musique
